Lewis Kossuth Evans died on 11 May 1893 at his home, Three Rivers, St Joseph Co, Michigan, at age 61.³

His obituary stated: "L K Evans, a well known newspaper writer, and former editor of the Waynesburg Republican, died in his home at Three Rivers, Mich, May 11 [1893], of Bright's Disease. Mr Evans was born near Garard's Fort, Greene county, Pa, Oct. 10, 1831, and was the son of the late Evan Evans and Nancy (Myers) Evans, deceased. His ancestors, on both sides, were early settlers in Western Pennsylvania. His grandfather, Lewis Evans, came to Springhill township, Fayette county, about 1800. On his mother's side, he was related to the Corblys, being a great-grandson of Rev. John Corbly. The family has a very large connection. L K Evans attended the academy at Merrittstown, and subsequently went to Lewisburg, Pa, where he graduated in 1856. In the fall of that year he went to Stafford, O, to teach and December 25, 1858, married Miss Mary Steele, of that place. They then located at Waynesburg and Mr. Evans became principal of the public schools. August 16, 1861 he enlisted in Co. F, First Pa, Cav. and was made lieutenant. He saw much active service. About that time he became editor and proprietor of the Waynesburg Republican and owned the paper until 1865. During the period, however, that he was in the army the paper was in charge of assistants. Mr Evans was commissioned postmaster here, by President Lincoln and retained that position for several years until succeeded by Colonel Joseph Cooke in 1865. Afterward he engaged in the dry goods business and at a subsequent period was again principal of the Union School. During the seventies he engaged as associate editor of the Republican by W. G. W. Day, who was then editor and proprietor. In 1876 he wrote a series of articles for the Republican relating to Greene county history which commanded a great deal of attention and are quite valuable. They were much quoted from by Dr. Bates in preparing his history. In 1881 he removed to Three Rivers, Michigan, where he had since been editor of the Tribune, which is owned by Geo A B Cooke, formerly of this place. He was an able writer and a man of high christian character. For many years he had been a member of the Baptist church and was always active in religious work. His first wife died in 1860 and on Thanksgiving day 1863, he married Miss Kate, daughter of the late Frederick Stoy, of this place. Mrs Evans and four children survive him, all grown, Fred., Lou., Eva and Jesse. E S Evans and Mrs L B Dilliner, of Greensboro, are half brother and half-sister of deceased. ________________ Mrs. Rebecca (South) Evans is still living. The bereaved family have the sympathy of a large circle of friends here."³

Laura Bernice Ferris died on 30 January 2013 at age 86.²

Her obituary stated: "Laura Ferris Stoy passed away on January 30th, 2013. She was born in Doyle, CA, May 15, 1926 to Mr and Mrs Orvis Samuel Ferris. She was the last of nine children; four girls and five boys. Horses were an important part of the family's lifestyle; and Laura remembered riding three miles every day to school either on a horse, or riding in a cart pulled by a donkey.
When Laura was a senior in high school, she drove the school bus from Doyle to Susanville and back. Laura and her husband John met in Susanville at the Grande Cafe. John was 18 and Laura was 17. When they were both 20 years old they married at the Baptist Church in Reno, NV, on June 26, 1946. They had 4 children. Laura worked for nearly 40 years on behalf of the mentally retarded, handicapped and anyone who needed a helping hand. In 1989 she was selected to receive the prestigious Jefferson Award for Distinguished Public Service. The Jefferson Award is special because it seeks to recognize those selfless people who work in the shadows, helping others without thought of public recognition. Graveside services were held at the Long Valley Cemetery in Doyle, CA on February 1, 2013."³

Christopher Kurze was Johan Christopher Kurze, minister at St Michael’s and Zion 1770-1773 (and afterwards went to New York). Andre Carson was likely Andrew Carson, resident of Waterford Township as was the Weiser family. There is no indication in this record that either was previously married.¹

At Dickinson, Mary studied English and was a member of Phi Mu sorority. Upon graduation, she taught English and coached the women's swim team at Cherry Hill High School. She also was an elementary school teacher in Carlisle, PA. Mary was a member of the Junior League of Harrisburg and held the office of Secretary. She was one of the original docents at the Governor's mansion in Harrisburg. She also served on the Board of the Friends of Fort Hunter. Mary was a long-time member of the Country Club of Harrisburg and an active member of the women's tennis team. Mary was preceded in death by her brother, G William Fox. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Charles B Zwally; her three children, Jane Zwally Farrell, wife of John Farell, Hilton Head, SC, Paul B Zwally, husband of Susanne Zwally, Harrisburg, PA, and David A Zwally, husband of Mary Beth Zwally, Westfield, NJ; and by eight grandchildren, Andrew Zwally, Megan Farrell, Colin Zwally, Thomas Farrell, Emily Zwally, Charlie Farrell, Dylan Zwally, and Annie Zwally. An 1882 biography stated: "Charles Grundish, son of Peter and Elisabeth Grundish, was born in Montgomery County, Ohio, December 25, 1836. He was married in October, 1854, to Sarah Croyle, a native of Tuscarawas County, Ohio, and born in January, 1836. Shortly after his marriage, he came to this township and settled on his present farm, which he had previously purchased. In August, 1861, he enlisted in Company E, Thirty-eight Ohio Volunteer Infantry, and served three years under Sherman. He owns 152 acres of good land, and his farm is one of the best cultivated in the neighborhood. He has had born to him a family of eleven children, viz, Avarintha, Ella (deceased), Mary, Jacob, Martha, Frances, Samuel, Estella, Ossen, Franklin (deceased) and Otis. Mr Grundish and wife are members of the United Brethren Church, and are looked upon as excellent neighbors."³

She appeared on the 1920 federal census of Allegheny Co, Pennsylvania, in the household of Walter Eugene Stoy; Household: Walter E Stoy (51), Mary G (wif - 48), and Edward G (son - 20), residing at 325 Melwood Street, Pittsburgh, 5^th Ward, where Walter E was a clerk for a tin plate company.⁴

She appeared on the 1930 federal census of Allegheny Co, Pennsylvania, in the household of Walter Eugene Stoy; Household: Walter E Stoy (64) and Mary G (wif - 57), residing at 5523 Ellsworth Avenue, Pittsburgh, 7^th Ward, where Walter E was an order clerk for a sheet & tin plate company, rented his home for $95/month and had a radio.⁵

Mary Vance Guthrie died on 2 June 1949 at Pinellas Co, Florida, at age 77.^6,8
