A warrant was completed on 7 Aug 1705 authorizing Capt John Tuttle and Zacharias Field, both of Dover, to appraise the estate of Moses Wingate - administration granted to Ann Wingett as executrix of the will, now the wife of Israell Hodsdon. An inventory was completed 29 Sep 1705 showing a value of £55.10.0.⁴

William Winget died 18 October 1897 at age 70.^5,6

"The subject of this sketch, Mr. William Winget, was born August 15, 1827, near Mansfield, Ohio; went to Illinois with his parents in 1836. Was married to Hannah L. Rhodes September 4, 1853, she dying January 29, 1870. Unto them was born eleven children, four of whom died in infancy; seven of them survive him. Uncle Will, as he was called by all who knew him, came to Missouri and was making him home with his son, Zenas Y. Winget, 3 1/2 miles east of Leonard, when the grim monster Death called him to his long resting place, on October 18, 1897, aged 70 years, 2 months, 3 days. He had been sick for four months. All was done for him that willing hands and loving hearts could do, but God in his infinite wisdom removed him from us. May we bow with resignation to the will of God, and in the silence and gloom of ineffable grief is heard the gentle whisper 'What I do ye know not now, but ye shall know hereafter.' The 14th chapter of John was read and prayer was offered by the writer, after which the remains were placed in the hearse and conveyed to the Leonard cemetery, there to await the resurrection morn. We would say to the bereaved children, be of good cheer, for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth on Him should not perish, but have life everlasting."⁵

His obituary stated: "Funeral services for Zenos Young Winget, 83, who died Monday of last week at his home west of Epworth, were held Wednesday afternoon at the Million & Barkelew funeral home in Shelbina. Burial was in the Zion cemetery west of Bethel. He was born in Adams, Illinois, on Jan. 20, 1862. On February 20, 1894 he was married to Miss Alpha Browning, who preceded him in death August 16, 1940. Survivors are three children, Mrs. Edna Wester of near Shelbyville, Curtis Winget of Riverside, California, and Chester Winget of the home, two grandchildren, Mrs. Earlene Copenhaver of Leonard and Pfc. Aubrey Wester of the armed forces in Germany, and three great grandchildren, Viocra and Betty Jean Wester and Richard Alan Copenhaver.
